Libby at 9 months

I wish I could tell you how much I love this sassy, little miss attitude, my-way-or-the-highway, baby.  She is such a happy baby.  She smiles all the time and it is so easy to make her laugh.  Sometimes she gets so excited she shrieks into laughter.  It is ridiculously cute.  She is a crawling machine these days.  Libby is so much happier that she can move wherever and whenever. She goes everywhere and there is no stopping her.  Her favorite place is the stairs.  I cannot keep this girl away.  She is so determined.  She will get what she wants or she gets pretty upset.  Eating is not one of her favorite things to do.  If there is something going on while I'm trying to feed her, she won't eat.  She'd rather be involved with whatever is going on.  Sometimes she really tries my patience but I wouldn't have her any other way!

Best Buds

Ever since we moved in these two play with each other every day, all day long. James is loving having a friend that is as energetic as he is.  They can be a very mischievous pair but it is so fun to see how excited they get when they get to play together.  They crack me up!

Timpanogos Caves

Gregg and I thought it would a fun family outing to hike up to the Timpanogos Caves.  It is a mile and a half up a very steep trail.  I had Libby strapped to me and Gregg pretty much had to carry James the whole way.  James would walk for a few yards then complain about being tired.  Libby was over being strapped down and was trying so hard to get out.  It was a strenuous hike but a lot of fun.  The caves were awesome.  James and Libby both did great and didn't even cry when they turned out all the lights and it was totally dark.  So dark you can't even see your hand an inch from your face.  Anywho is was awesome and we would recommend it plus it was so nice to be together as a family!

Nielson Family Reunion 2014

This family reunion I was in charged.  It was stressful but so much fun!  We were bummed that Scott and Amy and their family couldn't make it but maybe next time.  We had a snowball fight, lots of outdoor games, pinata, pioneer games, our traditional water fight, and lots and lots of fun!!

Haha we love photo bombs!

Little Miss Kylie loves Libby.

The people next door had this bounce slide.  It was really steep but Logan loved it.  He went down at least a dozen times.

Playing catch up

Yes it has been a long time since I posted so I'm going to just hit the few big things that happen in the last two months.

June
  • We took a job with Salem Hills High School in Salem, UT. After we got back for Alaska we moved to Spanish Fork.  We are in the best place.  The people we are renting from have a little boy a year older than James and they are best friends.  Every day James plays with Max.  They have a back yard which we have access to with a tramp, playhouse, swings, sandbox and a pool.  Play heaven!
  • While in Alaska James took swimming lessons and loved it!
Cutest kid in goggles pretty much ever.
  • We had a mini Wilson reunion with the Harrisons and the Omaha Wilsons after we came back from Alaska.  It was so great to see everyone!

At the Winter Quarters Temple.
Pulling a handcart at the visitor center.
At the College World Series!

July

  • Laura and the girls came down and spent the 4th with us.  It was very relaxed but a lot of fun.

Catching up with May

The beginning of May was a lot of traveling.  We drove to Salt Lake  for Lily's blessing.  It is always so much fun to see more family especially under the circumstances.  A few days later we drove out to Omaha to spend some time with David and Melissa.  We went to the zoo which was a blast.  James loved all the animals.  If he hadn't had been so tired I think he would've put up more of a fight when we left.  We played games and went to an art museum.  After a few days there we  hopped on a plane and headed to Alaska.  We over nighted in Seattle then finished the trip in morning.  Since we've been in Alaska we've gone camping, had lots of cookouts, gone down to the beach how knows how many times, played lots of games and just hung out.  James loves being able to run around as he pleases.  He loves going down to the beach and throwing rocks into the water.  Its a good thing we stayed for 6 weeks.

Also of note, Gregg accepted a job at Salem Hills High School.  So we are no longer going to be in South Dakota.  I'm a little sad about this.  I really love South Dakota.  It is a beautiful place and the people there are wonderful.  Our little family really grew a lot and had a lot of priceless experiences. I will miss it but Heavenly Father wants us to be back in Utah.

Libby turned 6 months.  She is as stubborn and opinionated as ever.  She was just learning to sit and and still getting the hang of the rolling business.  She refused to open her mouth for any solid foods and started to wean herself from breastfeeding.  She is quite the girl but I'm so glad she is mine.

James loved the goat at the zoo.  He gave them all hugs and kisses.

I love this picture.

Sweet baby girl.

Motivation

For a while I've been wanting to start running again, but I've never had the chance.  Now that we're in Alaska I have all the motivation I need.

This is what my run looks like every morning. That's right be jealous.
